Some dreams are worth every sacrifice.

For an entire year, Dennis and I saved. We went without. We said no to things so we could one day say yes to the dream of a lifetime — Alaska. Not just any Alaska — the Alaska most people never get to see. The glaciers, the rivers, the wildlife, the soul of a place so wild and so vast it changes you from the inside out.

We flew into Fairbanks and spent six extraordinary days on land — three days in Denali, where the mountains took our breath away, and three days at Mt. McKinley, where we stood before glaciers so ancient and so magnificent that words simply fail. We took a riverboat cruise through waters that told the story of Alaska better than any book ever could — the wildlife, the homes, the history, the life.

And then there was Ketchikan.

I walked streams I had never walked before. I met people who pour their whole hearts into their heritage and into each other. And somewhere along those streams, surrounded by the most breathtaking wilderness I have ever seen, I found the peace I had been looking for.

But the most beautiful part of this entire journey? Seeing Alaska through Dennis's eyes.

Watching my husband work — the way he moves, the way he sees, the compassion he pours into every single frame — it brings me to tears every time. He doesn't just photograph wildlife. He feels it. He honors it. And I am so incredibly proud to call Mr. Dennis Spittler my husband.

We also had the most precious gift of sharing this dream with Dennis's mom and stepdad — because some moments are meant to be lived together, held close, and remembered forever.

Our dream came true in Alaska. And now we bring Alaska to you — one photograph at a time.
